1 jalapeno pepper, minced
1 clove garlic, mixed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
allow package of puff pastry dough to defrost according to manufacturer’s directions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine together the sugar and the cinnamon, mix well. Open puff pastry dough and use one sheet and unfold onto a clean counter. Unfold the dough to where the long side is towards you, puff pastry dough is rectangular.
Spray puff pastry dough with non-stick spray (do this so the cinnamon and sugar mixture will stick to the dough), and sprinkle on 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon sugar mixer on the dough. Using a pizza cutter cut the dough in half horizontally. Cut the dough vertically into 10 pieces. Twist each cut piece of dough 2 to 3 times before placing onto the parchment covered cookie sheet. Sprinkle an additional 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon sugar mixer.
Repeat process with other pastry sheet. Bake stix for approximately 15 minutes or until desired toasted color.
Prepare icing by allowing margarine and cream cheese to reach room temperature. Beat cream cheese and margarine together in a bowl with a mixer. Slowly add in all powdered sugar and lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Serve with Cinnabon Stix.

Marinade

2. Remove steak; discard marinade. Place steak on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 15 to 18 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally.
3. Place remaining marinade in small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce consistency, stirring occasionally.
4. Cut steak into serving-size pieces. Serve with sauce.

2 romaine lettuce hearts, roughly chopped
1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 2.25-ounce cans sliced black olives, drained
4 ounces cheddar or Monterey jack cheese (or a combination), shredded
Fresh salsa, for topping
Make the tortilla bowls: Position a rack in the lower third of the oven; preheat to 450 degrees F. Put 4 empty cans (labels removed) or small ovenproof bowls upside down on a baking sheet. Drape a square of foil over each can and coat with cooking spray.
Fill a shallow bowl with 1/2 inch warm water; whisk in the olive oil. Soak each tortilla in the water until soft, about 5 seconds, then drape over the prepared cans, pleating as needed. Bake until golden, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and invert the tortilla bowls onto the baking sheet; remove the cans and foil. Spray the inside of the tortilla bowls with cooking spray, season with salt and continue baking until crisp, 4 to 5 more minutes; let cool.
Meanwhile, make the steak: Whisk the dried garlic, onion and oregano, the cumin, chile powder, scallions, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in a bowl. Put the steak in a shallow dish and rub with 2 tablespoons of the spice mixture (reserve the rest for the dressing). Add the bell pepper and sliced onion and toss. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add the steak and scatter the bell pepper and onion around it. Sear the steak about 5 minutes per side, then transfer to a cutting board. Continue cooking the pepper and onion until just tender, about 3 more minutes. Thinly slice the steak against the grain, then cut into 1-inch pieces.
Assemble the salad: Whisk the mayonnaise, buttermilk and the reserved spice mixture in a large bowl until smooth. Add the cucumber, lettuce, beans and olives and toss. Divide the salad among the tortilla bowls. Top with the steak, bell pepper, onion, cheese and salsa.

1/2 cup flour
1. Make honey mustard sauce by combining ingredients in a small bowl. Cover and chill until needed.
2. Heat shortening or oil in fryer to 350 degrees F.
3. Combine beaten egg, milk, chicken broth, salt and pepper in amedium bowl. Whisk for about 30 seconds to dissolve salt. Whisk in 1 cup self-rising flour. Let batter sit for 5 minutes.
4. When you are ready to fry the chicken, coat each piece with dry flour (1/2 cup in a medium bowl), then dunk the chicken into the batter. Let a little batter drip off the chicken and lower it into the hot oil and fry for 7 to 9 minutes or until it's golden brown.
Depending on the size of your fryer, you should be able to fry 3 or 4 tenderloins at a time.
Drain fried chicken strips on a rack or paper towels for a minute or so, and serve with the honey mustard dressing on the side for dipping.
Serves 4 as an appetizer or 2 as an entree.

2. Cut the steak in long, thin strips. (This is more easily done if the steak is very cold.) In a skillet that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, fry the beef until done. If there is any fat, drain thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Sprinkle the cheese in the center of the tortilla; top with tomato, onion, cooked mushroom, and cilantro. Crumble the bacon and sprinkle over the top. Arrange the steak on top.

2/3 cup panko (Japanese) bread crumbs

In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the salmon cubes several times until coarsely ground (there will still be flakes of salmon). Remove the ground salmon to a large bowl, and stir in the capers, bread crumbs, lemon juice, pepper, salt and egg until the mixture is uniform and fully combined. Divide the mixture into 4 patties.
In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the burgers (do not crowd, they can be cooked in batches) and sauté, adjusting the heat as needed, until the burgers are golden on the outside and cooked throughout, 2 to 2 1/2 minutes per side.
Prepare the burgers: Brush the insides of each toasted bun with tartar sauce, and spoon a little coleslaw on the base of the bun. Place a burger on the slaw, then the bun top. Serve immediately.

Togo's White Bread Hoagie Rolls
Makes about 36 oz of Sandwich Roll Dough. Enough for six 7" hoagie rolls.
1-1/3 cups (320g) milk
4 Tbsp (46g) White Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp (8g) Powdered Milk or Dry Coffee Creamer
2 tsp (11.2g) Table Salt
2-1/2 Tbsp (35g) Olive Oil
4-1/4 cups (544g) Bread Flour
2-1/4 tsp (7g) or 1 envelope packet of Instant Yeast
Add Ingredients to bread mixing pan, in the order that Ingredients are listed above. Snap pan into Bread Machine.
(Or knead for 6 minutes on Speed 2 in a Kitchenaid Mixer. Or knead by hand for 10 minutes.)
Set Bread Machine to Dough Cycle. Press Start.
When mixing starts, add more water or flour, if needed, to make a soft smooth dough, that is not crumbly or too sticky. Add a Tablespoon at a time, if needed.
Dough will mix and knead for 20 minutes and then rise for about 70 minutes.
When the Bread Machine beeps, and there is zero time left on the display, take out the dough and divide into into 3 equal size pieces.
Each piece of hoagie roll dough should be about 12-oz each.
Roll each of the 3 pieces of hoagie roll dough into a sausage shape, about 14-inches long. Try to make them even diameter along their length.
Place each of the 3 pieces of the rolled out hoagie roll dough on a greased Baguette Baking Pan or greased cookie sheet.
Place the Baguette Baking Pan in the oven, near the center. Mist dough with water.
On the shelf below the hoagie roll dough, add a rimmed cookie sheet and pour a cup of water in it.
Turn on the oven, at 350-F, for ONLY 2-minutes, to warm the dough. TURN OFF THE OVEN.
Allow the hoagie roll dough to rise for 45 to 60 minutes in the warm oven, with the oven light on, until the dough doubles in size.
Cut three, 1/4 inch deep diagonal slashes, in each hoagie roll dough and mist dough with water.
Set the oven to 400-F, and Set the timer for 25 to 28 minutes. We are timing from when we turn on the oven.
After 25-minutes, the hoagie rolls crust should be golden brown and centers should be at least 195-F, when measured with a digital probe thermometer.
Bake a little longer if needed.
Remove from oven. Let cool for about 5-minutes before slicing.
Cut each of the three 14" hoagie rolls in half to make 6 7" rolls. Split open before using.

INGREDIENTS
8 jalapeños
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 garlic cloves, sliced paper thin
3/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar (unseasoned will work in a pinch)
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (from about 1/2 lemon)
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite
DIRECTIONS
1. Slice the jalapeños crosswise into thin rings about an 1/8-inch thick using a sharp knife or a handheld slicer. If you prefer a less-than-incredibly-spicy pickle, scrape out and discard the seeds. Place the jalapeños rings in a jar.
2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and sugar to a gentle boil and let it bubble for a few minutes. Remove from the heat. Add the citrus juices and soda and let cool until no longer piping hot, about 5 minutes.

1/2 up. butter, softened
1(3 oz). pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup flour
1 egg
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cranberries
3 TB chopped pecans
Pastry: In a bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese till combined. Stir in flour. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Shape into 24 balls place one ball in tart or mini muffin pans. Press dough evenly against bottom and up sides of each muffin cup. Fill with the following filling
Filling: In a small bowl, beat together the egg, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt till smooth. Stir in cranberries and pecans. Spoon filling into the pastry lined muffin cups about 2/3 full Bake tassies in a 325 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or till pastry is golden brown. Cool in pans on wire rack. Remove from pans by running a knife around the edges. Store in an airtight container. This is easy to double.

Place browned chops in shallow baking dish. Lightly mix together dressing ingredients. Place a mound of dressing on each chop. Blend the soup with the 1/3 cup water and pour over chops and dressing. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until tender. Serves 4.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out thawed bread dough 1/4" - 1/2" thick. In the middle of circle, layer meat, cheese and spinach, leaving sides to slice and braid over the filling,or you can just fold each side over top. Bake for approximately 35 min, or until golden brown.

1/2 cup vinegar

I made acorn squash at 350 degrees in the oven for 1 hour with butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar inside! Also, I used a food processor and canned chicken to make chicken salad sandwiches.

2 − 10 oz. packages frozen chopped spinach −
Thawed in refrigerator overnight
1 lb. ricotta cheese
3/4 lb. shredded mozzarella cheese
2 oz. grated Romano cheese
1/2 teas. black pepper
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter or margarine, lightly melted
12 lasagna noodles
16 oz. jar spaghetti sauce (thinned with a little water)
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain
carefully so as not to break noodles. Rinse and lay out flat
on a cookie sheet. Set aside.
Squeeze the excess moisture out of spinach. Place in a bowl
and add ricotta, mozzarella, Romano, pepper, and melted butter.
Mix just long enough to combine ingredients; the ricotta should
not be green.
Evenly divide the spinach mixture among noodles. Spread
mixture evenly over noodles leaving a one inch space on top and
bottom. Starting from one end, roll each noodle up over
filling. Place them seam side down in a lightly oiled casserole
dish allowing only one layer of rolls. Pour warmed sauce over
all, cover, and bake at 350F for 20 − 30 minutes or until
heated throughout.
NOTE: The spinach mixture is the same as used in spinach and
cheese calzones.

With electric mixer beat eggs until foamy. Beat in remaining ingredients as
listed. Pour into Pam−sprayed 8" square baking dish. Bake on center rack of
preheated 400F oven 35 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.

2 cups buttermilk
2/3 c. shortening
Mix together, but do not knead. Roll out to 1" thick.
Cut and brush tops with additional buttermilk.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
