Pork Chops with Mushrooms
Servings: 5
5 [3/4-inch /2-cm thick] pork chops
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups [375 mL] cleaned fresh mushroom slices
1 [10-ounce / 284-mL] can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
A little vegetable oil
Preheat a little vegetable oil into a large frypan.
Brown pork chops for 2 minutes on each side; remove from frypan.
Drain melted fat then fry together chopped onion and garlic and mushroom slices for 2 minutes.
Pour in already mixed together condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk.
Bring to a boil.
Add pork chops, lower heat, cover and leave pork chops to simmer slowly for 20 to 25 minutes, until tender and no longer pink inside, turning at half-time.
