Pear Crumb Pie
One 9-inch unbaked pie shell
6 medium pears, peeled and cored
1 cup raisins
¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup flour
½ cup packed brown sugar
Whipped cream, to garnish
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Combine pears, raisins, sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix well and pour into the pie shell.
3. In a small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar; sprinkle over pear filling.
4. Bake 45 to 50 minutes, until filling is bubbling and crumb topping is golden.
5. Cool 5 minutes, top with whipped cream, and serve.
