Private seller items sold as seen advice? (Rasputin)

Sold an item recently to a private buyer so wrote on receipt signed by both sold as seen. He inspected and paid via bacs in my presence. Now he's saying that the wood is cracked and can be seen under a glass. My eyesight is good and I couldn't see..
