Chow Mein

Ingredients Preparation
Oil
Chicken, beef or pork strips or shelled and deveined shrimps
Sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, finely chopped or into strips
Sweet red pepper, membranes removed and seeded, finely chopped or into strips
Onion, finely chopped or into strips
Celery, finely chopped or sliced
Cauliflower, into small flowerets [optional]
Broccoli, into small flowerets [optional]
Chinese cabbage, sliced
Freshly cleaned mushroom slices, to taste
Chopped green onions, to taste
Tomato dices, to taste
1 [3/4-ounce / 21-g]pack Chow Mein sauce mix
Chicken broth or water
Salt and pepper, to taste
Small dry or tiny boiled drained noodles, to serve
Into a wok, brown chicken, beef or pork strips or shelled deveined shrimps into a little hot oil.
Keep warm.
Into the same wok, brown together the vegetables except tomato dices adding vegetables according to required cooking time, until tender yet still firm.
Mix together sauce mix and a little chicken broth or water before pouring mixture into the wok stirring.
Add and reheat chicken, beef or pork strips of shrimps, for a few minutes.
Salt, pepper and delicately mix in tomato cubes; reheat until just warmed-up.
Serve over small dry or tiny boiled drained noodles.
