Chicken a la King in Pastry Crust

Comments: Also excellent using turkey cubes.

Ingredients Preparation

1 [9-inch / 23-cm] frozen flaky pastry shell
2 tablespoons [30 g] butter or margarine
1/2 cup [125 mL] sweet green pepper, membranes removed and seeded, dices
1 [10-ounce / 284-mL] can cream of chicken soup concentrate
1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
2 cups [500 mL] cooked chicken cubes
1/4 cup [60 mL] drained sweet red pepper packed in oil dices



Bake pastry shell according to package directions.
Meanwhile, melt butter or margarine into a medium saucepan; soften sweet green pepper dices stirring.
Pour in cream of chicken soup concentrate and milk.
Mix in cooked chicken cubes and drained sweet red pepper dices.
Heat, stirring occasionally, until really hot.
Evenly spoon into hot pastry crust, and serve.
