Easy Tiramisu









1 [18-ounce / 510-g] package supermoist chocolate cake mix

1 1/3 cups [330 mL] water

3 eggs

1/3 cup [80 mL] oil

1/3 cup [80 mL] coffee liquor or strong black coffee

1 [12-ounce / 340-g] box whipped deluxe cream cheese frosting

Chocolate shavings, to decorate







Preheat oven to 180°C [350°F].

Generously grease then flour 2 [9-inch / 22-cm each] round cake pans.

Prepare batter using 1 1/3 cups [330 mL] water, 3 eggs and 1/3 cup [80 mL] oil.

Evenly spoon into prepared cake pans; bake according to the instructions on the box.

Unmold onto wire racks.

Evenly pour the bottom of cakes with 1/4 cup [60 mL] of coffee liquor or strong black coffee.

Leave to cool completely.

Mix remaining coffee liquor or strong black coffee into frosting.

Frost the top of 1 cake with a little of the frosting; top with second cake.

Frost top and sides of cake.

Decorate with chocolate shavings.
