White Cheddar Cheese and Buttermilk Biscuits



Ingredients:



2 cups all-purpose flour



1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese



1 jalapeño, seeded and minced



1 tablespoon baking powder



1 teaspoon baking soda



½ teaspoon salt



6 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cut into pieces



¾ cup buttermilk



1. Preheat oven to 425°F.Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.



2. In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, pulse together the flour,



baking powder, baking soda and salt.



3. Pulse in the cold butter just until evenly incorporated.



4. Empty contents of food processor into a large mixing bowl, fold in cheddar cheese and minced



jalapeño and stir in the buttermilk until a dough begins to form.



5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board and roll it out ½ inch thick. Re-roll scraps



6. Place biscuits on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10



minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
