Chinese Imperial Palace's Sweet And Sour Sauce



1/3 cup white Vinegar

1 cup water

2/3 cup sugar

1 dash salt

1 dash MSG

1 dash freshly-ground white pepper

1 dash Tabasco sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons ketchup



Cook first 7 ingredients over medium heat and then add the cornstarch combined with water and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until it is bubbly and thick.



Remove from stove and add the ketchup. This will stay good in the refrigerator for about a week.
