Old Fashioned Potato Dumplings

Old Fashioned Potato Dumplings



6 finely minced potatoes

1 tsp of salt

1/2 tsp pepper

2 Tbsp melted shortening

1 tsp nutmeg

4 beaten eggs

2 Tbsp all purpose flour

2 Tbsp plain bread crumbs



Mix all ingredients together to form a soft dough. Drop by tablespoon

full into a slightly salted boiling water. Cover and boil until

light and fluffy. Approx. 12 minutes. Do not lift lid or they will

fall and turn out doughy.
