Chop Suey with Meat, Chicken or Fish







1 tablespoon [15 mL] oil

1 pound [454 g] small chicken white strips

1 onion, sliced

2 cups [500 mL] thinly sliced celery

2 pounds [900 g] bean sprouts

1 cup [250 mL] water

4 tablespoons [60 mL] chinese chop suey sauce mix

1 tablespoon [15 mL] cornstarch, diluted with a little cold water







Into a frying pan, heat oil until really hot.

Add chicken strips, onion and celery slices.

Fry stirring until chicken strips are no longer pink inside.

Mix in bean sprouts, water, chinese chop suey sauce mix and diluted cornstarch.

Cover and leave to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

Mix well before serving.
