She came into this world Dec. 17, 1925, And increased at Lock 6 on the Cumberland River in Hartsville, tn. She was the fundamental child of the late Robert Phillip and Mary "Corrine" (Marlin) Dickens.
While studying home economics at tennessee Polytechnic Institute (Now Tennessee technological University, Cookeville, tn) She met the love of her life, Perry shelter Phipps, Whom she married in August of 1948 and spent the delicate process of her life as a dedicated wife and mother and avid homemaker in Cookeville.
She was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church since her marriage in 1948 and assisted with their youth programs for quite some time. She was a person in The Eastern Star. She was centered on living her life based on Christian principles, Generosity, Graciousness, in addition to the "south manners, respects, And hospitality, She was a first-rate seamstress, beautiful young chinese girls make dinner, And hostess and enjoyed engaging for many "brides to Be" And her husband's work associates. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the world and was an avid collector of beautiful items.
Her heirs include her loving son and daughter in law, Mike and barbara Phipps; an initial cousin, Laura Dell Spence; And a aunt in law, Ruth Phipps.
