Engine Oil - overheating (RUNT)

Hey, My VW Passat just went in for an oil change, shortly after leaving my engine started to overheat and I've just had to abandon my car at a local Skoda garage On my receipt it says they used 0W 30 oil but on line it says it needs 5w 30 oil. ..
