Whataburger Chicken & Pancakes
For over 6 decades Whataburger has served huge burgers on 5-inch buns using only quality ingredients. Throughout the years they have expanded their menu which also includes their chicken and pancakes.
Since Whataburger doesn't have waffles, they needed a way to recreate the famous chicken and waffles dish. When you eat chicken and pancakes, the crunch comes from the freshly fried chicken while the pancakes add a chewy textural juxtapostion that will leave you wanting more. And you better not forget to top it all off with some of their perfectly sweet syrup!
Whataburger does sell their pancake mix online – a “just add water” mix – but you can use your very own pancake mix.
Crispy chicken tenders are easy to find in the frozen food section and your favorite pancake syrup will do just fine. And you can oven-bake them if you don’t want to deep fry them.
So easy to re-create with only 3 ingredients (pancake mix, tenders and syrup) you can create this in your own kitchen.
