Just Another Cheesecake


2 cups [500 mL] crushed corn flakes cereals
1 1/2 cups [210 g] flour
1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
1/4 pound [113 g] melted butter

Filling

3/4 pound [340 g] cottage cheese
1/2 pound [227 g] cream cheese
3/4 cup [190 mL] milk
2/3 cup [130 g] sugar
1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
4 heaping tablespoons [35 g] flour
2 egg whites



Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
Mix together crushed corn flakes, flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar and melted butter.
Reserving 1 cup [250 mL] mixture, press remaining mixture over the bottom of a springform pan.
Beat together filling cottage and cream cheeses, milk, sugar, vanilla and flour.
Into a clean bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold egg whites into cheeses mixture.
Pour filling into prepared pan.
Sprinkle filling all over with reserved corn flakes mixture.
Bake into preheated oven, until golden.
