Bacon Cheese Rounds

Ingredients Preparation

1/2 pound [227 g] Old Cheddar cheese
l small onion, thinly sliced or diced
8 to 10 slices cooked bacon
4 ounces [113 g] slivered almonds, browned in butter until golden
1 cup [250 mL] mayonnaise
2 teaspoons [10 mL] Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 mini fresh bread sticks, sliced



Mix together cheese, onion, bacon, almonds, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; spread slices of bread with mixture.
Freeze, individually if possible.
When ready to serve, bake slices in a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven, for approximately 15 minutes.
