Pain relief for broken ankle? (stinking_dylan)

Bit of a disaster... My girlfriend fell off one of the horses last night and has broken her ankle. She's in a cast for 6 weeks. Was in a lot of pain last night. Anybody have any advice on pain relief, or just meds?..
