Disney World Nutella Waffle Sandwich
1 cup Carbon's Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle Mix*
5 ounces water
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Nutella Hazelnut Spread
fresh blueberries
fresh strawberries, sliced
banana slices
* I highly suggest using Carbon's Golden Malted Waffle Mix. It's the flour Disney uses and it makes a huge difference in the taste. It comes with buttermilk and malt powder already in the mix and that's what gives Disney waffles their distinct (and delicious) flavor.
Preheat waffle iron.
Whisk egg and water together in large bowl. Stir in vanilla. Add Waffle Mix and sugar. Mix well until lumps are gone. Pour in melted butter and stir.
Ladle batter into preheated waffle iron and close. Let cook until golden brown. Remove carefully and set on plate.
Spread a generous amount of Nutella over the surface of the waffle. Top with fresh fruit. Fold in half (if you can) or serve flat and eat with a fork and knife.
