Steak and Ale Kensington Club Meat Marinade

Back in 1966, the Steak and Ale was a quite popular restaurant chain started in Dallas, Texas. Popular menu items at Steak and Ale included the signature herb roasted prime rib, kensington club, New York strip, filet mignon, Hawaiian chicken and spicy grilled chicken pasta. Here’s their steak marinade recipe – a very tenderizing and flavorful marinade which is also good for beef, pork, and chicken. .

Steak and Ale Kensington Club Meat Marinade

• 3 1/2 cups pineapple juice
• 1 cup soy sauce (light soy sauce is ok)
• 1 cup dry Sherry
• 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons minced garlic

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Add up to five pounds of meat to the marinade. Ideally allow meat to marinade for 4 hours at a minimum. Up to 24 hours is best.
