Broccolini, Lemon Parmesan Cheese Sauce

Comments: Broccolini is also called baby broccoli or broccoletti; do not remove the tender, delicious stems.

Ingredients Preparation

1 tablespoon [15 mL] extra-vrigin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
17 1/2 ounces [500 g] chopped broccolini
1 tablespoon [15 mL] lemon juice
1 tablespoon [15 mL] mayonnaise
3 tablespoons [45 g] grated Parmesan cheese
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Water



Heat a large frpan over medium heat until hot enough for a drop of water to sizzle.
Pour in olive oil; stir-fy minced garlic until golden, for 1 minute.
Add chopped broccolini before puring in 1/4 cup [60 mL] water.
Turn the heat to high allow the water to steam the broccolini until tender and all the water has evaporated, for approximately 2 minutes.
Pour in up to 1/4 cup [60 mL] more water if the frypan is dry before the broccolini is tender.
Transfer into a serving bowl.
Into a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper.
Drizzle all over broccolini before serving.
