Breaded Spicy Cajun Chicken Wings

Comments: Really spicy delicious chicken wings.

1/2 cup [70 g] all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons [45 mL] Cajun spices
1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
2 large eggs
1 cup [250 mL] fine breadcrumbs
48 chicken wing pieces
Vegetable oil

Cream Cheese Sauce

8 ounces [227 g] cream cheese
8 ounces [1 cup] sour cream
1 tablespoon [15 mL] finely chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon [15 mL] finely chopped fresh cilantro



For the cream cheese sauce, into the bowl of a food processor, mix together all sauce ingredients to get a smooth creamy mixture.
Evenly spoon into 4 small bowls.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Preheat oven to 425°F [220°C].
Into a bowl, mix together flour, 2 tablespoons [30 mL] of Cajun spices and salt.
Beat eggs into a clean bowl.
Transfer breadcrumbs into a third bowl.
Dip chicken wing pieces into flour mixture until completely coated.
Dip coated chicken wing pieces into beaten eggs, then into breadcrumbs until well coated.
Heat some vegetable oil into a deep frypan.
Fry coated chicken wing pieces for 6 minutes, turning once.
Use a large slotted spoon to transfer chicken wing pieces onto a baking sheet.
Bake into preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle done chicken wing pieces with remaining Cajun spices.
Serve immediately, along with cream cheese sauce.
