Buying and living in a motorhome (Suspirio)

I love the idea of doing this and living as a nomad around the UK and maybe even the EU. Anyone know anything about doing this? Other than the maintenance and insurance costs of running the vehicle what else is involved? Do you have to pay any council tax..
