The Buttered Tin Molasses Cookies

Brown Sugar 1 cup

Butter 4 oz

Lard 2 oz

Molasses ¼ cup

Egg 1

AP Flour 2 ¼ cup

Baking Soda 1 ½ tsp

Cinnamon 1 tsp

Ginger 1 tsp

Cloves ½ tsp

Salt ¼ tsp

Sugar for garnish

Directions:

Cream brown sugar, butter, lard and molasses until fluffy.

Add egg slowly.

Sift together dry ingredients and add.

Scoop cookies with a spoon and dip in granulated sugar

Put on cookie sheet and press down.

Bake at 325 for approximately 10 minutes.
