Itunes not synching/PC not recognising my Ipod (Barbarian999)

I may have caused problem......went to import some tracks from cd's and add them onto my I tunes libary...forgot that my external HDD was still connected to my computer. This confused it and now even though I managed to transfer about 100 songs to my Itun..
