Anyone strained muscle in the abdominal wall? (cu3ed)

For a while now I have had a dull pain on the abdomen, just right of the left side hip bone, usually aggravated from leg work.Had it checked with the Doc and he was pretty certain their was no hernia ( no bulge or anything), however if im on the flat leg ..
