How to unlock iphone 5s (Adum)

Hi, Does anyone know how to unlock an iphone 5? a guy on the market near me said he could do it for 40 quid but that seems steep to me.. Has anyone trusted the sites that state they can do it online using imei numbers? Thanks a lot..
