How to Make Apple Cider
1 (64-ounce) bottle apple cider or apple juice
4 cinnamon sticks
7 whole cloves
1 orange
Using a vegetable peeler or paring knife, peel the orange into long strips of zest.
Combine the apple cider in a large stock pot with the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange peel.
Heat the cider over medium heat for 20-25 minutes until hot. Discard the orange peel, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Serve.
If desired, top with whipped cream and caramel sauce. Make hard cider by adding 1 ounce of apple brandy to each mug of hot apple cider.
