Orange Julius Fudge
Fudge Base:
3/4 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 cups granulated sugar
dash salt
2 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
7 ounces marshmallow fluff
1 1/2 teaspoons orange extract
3 large oranges, zested
Garnish:
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 large oranges, zested
1 cup granulated sugar
Prepare garnish first by mixing orange zest (for garnish) with granulated sugar, using a fork. Mix in the white chocolate chips (not melted). Set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt butter with cream, sugar and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture starts to boil. Once boiling, stir continuously for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
In a large mixing bowl (with a stand mixer or hand held electric), add white chocolate morsels (not melted), marshmallow cream, orange extract and orange zest. Pour hot, boiling cream mixture over all of this and using the whisk attachment beat for about 1-2 minutes. The chocolate will melt and become creamy.
