Going on some form of retreat buddhist etc (neptune)

Has anyone of you's been on some kind of retreat for a month - 6 weeks, buddhist or non buddhist or know of somewhere where this is possible (in the UK). there is gaia house and sanye ling buddhist monasteries but they are very expensive to stay for a mon..
