It’s one of a few winners Franco has on his summer agenda, which also includes June’s massive sequel, 22 Jump Street (where he says he has a brief, but memorable cameo in a prison cell). And he thinks he’s going from this busy summer into the planned Now You See Me 2, which allegedly is filming at the end of the year.

It’s actually going to be really exciting. I was slightly weary, just because you never know when it comes to a sequel. But I think the first one opened up enough avenues. There are many directions left to explore. There are many places that it can go, and they really – they held true to the spirit of the first one, but it’s going to be enough of a departure that it doesn’t just feel like a complete copy of the first one."

Enter OmniCorp, a company with an idea and plenty of ambition to support that idea. They want to turn a wounded police officer into a part-man, part-robot machine, and when cop Alex Murphy (Kinnamon) falls into the company’s lap after sustaining multiple injuries, Omnicorp’s idea becomes a reality. As you can imagine, half-man, half-robot creation packs a lot of punch, and RoboCop features enough exciting visuals to engage even the least action-oriented fans.
The Weinstein Company is also placing their flag on November 21st, taking on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pat 1 and the Kevin Costner drama McFarland with their potential Oscar contender The Imitation Game. The film follows the exploits of Alan Turing, a code breaker during World War II and the godfather of modern computing, and it could result in an Oscar nomination for star Benedict Cumberbatch. There was also the September 26th date set for The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby starring James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain. That drama goes up against the animated film The Boxtrolls, the indie Laggies, the comedy Hector And The Search For Happiness, and Denzel Washington thriller The Equalizer.
