Stuffed Red Peppers and not what you think -

Another old recipe I wanted to share as I go through my recipes -





This one I am definitely going to try - got to get to the market for sweet red peppers!





Clean and seed 6 red peppers.



Blanch for 5 minutes in a mixture of 2 c. water, 1 c. white vinegar, 1/2 c. sugar, 4 whole cloves.



Drain; chill.



Filling:

2 apples, unpeeled, chopped

2 c. finely chopped cabbage



Dressing for filling:

1 c. cream

1/2 t. salt

4 t. sugar

2 T. orange juice

1/4 c. lemon juice

Mix well; beat until stiff; stir into apples and cabbage.



Stuff peppers.



Serve with hearty crackers or breadsticks.
